2023 Knitting Retreat

It is time for the second annual Finnegan’s Run Knitting Retreat

Join us for a weekend of laughter, camaraderie, knitting and fun at Finnegan’s Run, located in historic Fredericksburg, VA. The weekend will start at 10am on Friday, July 21st . We will be knitting the Tap Code Pullover by Lizabeth Towers. We will have a measuring workshop so you can knit the perfect size sweater for you, then a charting workshop so you can chart out the saying you want to add to your sweater. During this time, you will also be able to pick out the yarn for your sweater and of course knit your gauge swatch. We will end the day around 5pm. We pick up again at 9am Saturday morning with a brunch at the shop and a day filled with knitting on your sweater. Get customized help as we guide you through the project and answer any questions you may have. We will break for a scavenger hunt, then resume for an afternoon of knitting and fun and games. We will end at 5pm when the trolley will pick us up and take us downtown for a wonderful dinner at La Petite Auberge. After a scrumptious meal, the trolley will pick us up and safely return us to the shop. Sunday morning, we gather once more at 10am and end the weekend with a show and tell and celebration of you, our friends. Bring items that you have finished (or are still working on) to share with the group and provide everyone with inspiration for their next project.
