Two Color Brioche

“Books & Bridges” by Christine Snellman

Books and bridges is a beautiful brioche shawl that utilizes two colors of fingering weight yarn. It has stockinette and garter sections between the brioche sections, allowing beginners to digest what they learned before moving to more complex brioche stitches. This is NOT a beginner knitter’s class, but if you can knit and purl confidently and read the knit and purl stitches on your needle, then this will be a fun class that concludes with a gorgeous shawl.

• Must be able to knit and purl confidently
• Able to read knit and purl stitches on your needle

Yarn:                   750-800 Yards of Fingering Weight Yarn in two contrasting colors

Needles:             US5 24 or 32inch circular

Other:                  2 Stich markers, Darning Needle, highlighter tape

Practice Supplies:     For the first class please bring 25-50 grams each of two contrasting color yarns and needle appropriate for the yarn.  We will cover the basic brioche stitch in this class, and you can practice on this swatch before diving into your shawl during the second class.

Class Policy: Refunds for Prepaid Classes can only be made if we are notified at least two (2) weeks in advance of the first class date. Missed Classes will not be made up unless the Instructor is unable to teach or the shop is closed for inclement weather. No refunds for missed classes.
