Finnegan's Run 2022 Auction Benefiting Fetch a Cure
November is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. Statistics from MedVet show that one in five cats and one in four dogs are diagnosed with cancer. The Animal Cancer Foundation and Nationwide created this day intending to raise money and increase awareness to combat the leading cause of death in pets. It is in this spirit we are holding an auction benefiting Fetch a Cure.
Cathy has chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to her, and she hope you'll consider bidding on an item and in turn support Fetch a Cure.
Cathy's yellow lab Callie was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and is doing well today after radiation and chemo. Cathy would like to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to receive treatment for their best friend and Fetch a Cure helps do that by providing grants to people to help pay for the treatment needed.
Fetch a Cure's vision is simple: A community where no one is denied a choice for their pet due to lack of options, education or funding. FETCH a Cure is a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life for our pets. Working with pet owners and the veterinary community, FETCH is furthering pet cancer awareness, education, and treatment.
How The Auction & Bidding Works
What are we auctioning?
Most of these samples were hand knit, crocheted, or woven by our staff and used for display in our store. They were not worn. We use them to demonstrate the beauty of the yarns and patterns. As we cycle through different yarns and patterns, we donate those we no longer need.
We are asking you to bid generously
Please consider the passion and time poured into every stitch of these garments. Even more so, we ask that you consider the families you will be supporting.
The auction will take place
The bidding will open on Friday November 11th, 2022 at 8:00 am EST. The bidding will close on Saturday December 3rd, 2022 at 8:00pm EST. Our goal is to have the items ready for pick up or delivery in time for holiday gift giving.
We ask that you place your bid in the comments section for the garment you want to bid on. The highest bid will receive the garment.
You Must Enter A Valid Email Address and Your First & Last name, or your bid will not be accepted and we will default to the next bid. Your email address will not be made public, and we will only email you regarding the auction. You may consider opting in to receive emails when a new comment is made so you can see if you want to place another bid.
Comments and/or Bids made before 8:00am EST November 11th, 2022 will be disregarded and deleted.
Comments and/or Bids made after 8:00pm EST December 3rd, 2022 will be disregarded and deleted.
We will invoice you, combine all donations, and donate the proceeds of this auction to Fetch for a Cure.
If you are not local, we will ship you the garment for a flat rate of $9.00 within the continental US.
